Scott Sullivan
Breaking his professional teeth in the SoCal surf/snow/skate menagerie, Scotty Sullivan has become an institution where ever snow dumps or waves barrel – always with tools in hand. A World traveller, Scott’s beaming grin and cheeky persona have been a regular companion to Absinthe shoots from Heli drops in Alaska to the mountainous back waters of inland BC, from the Swiss Alps to the Austrian Tirol and almost everything in between. Equally as adept when rolling a 16mm, hitting the go button on a HD, firing his EOS-1, or romancing his guitar, harmonica and microphone – Scott brings a whole new meaning to the concept of “the one man band”. He likes to get up close and personal, he is a motivator, mentor and a mate to all of the riders in his crew. Fusing the art of photography with the rhythm of a musician and the depth of field of a filmer, Scott has perfected a unique style of his own rarely imitated and totally original. Some say he has been known to use them all at once. The perfect shoot occurs with a subtle balance of trust and team work. Scott’s good humour, laid back attitude melded with his professionalism, experience and eye for the shot makes has made him an indispensable member of the Absinthe family. If the saying, “happy is a man who can make his hobby his profession” is true, then Scott is one of the happiest people out there and rarely gives you any reason for thinking otherwise.
