Throughout the 2000s, podium after podium, Hana Beaman solidified her "Queen of Slope-Style" title while also making time to stomp bangers in the backcountry and pump out impressive video parts with the Grenade crew. During these years, Beaman also joined forces with the Tahoe-based filmmaker Sky Rondenet to establish XX Productions, the first all-women film company in the snowboarding industry.
In Part 2 of Beaman’s 3-part MICRODOSE series, when we characterize her as a mentor, we aren’t kidding. Thousands of young riders have benefitted from her can-do spirit, unstoppable work ethic, and positive outlook. Twenty-years in, Beaman is currently filming a full-part for Robin Van Gyn’s upcoming two-year film project (as yet to be named). As well, she’s now a backcountry firefighter in Washington State. We cannot wait to see what’s next for this visionary athlete. The stoke is real.
